BEAU RIVAGE MAURITIUS – WELCOME TO PARADISE
BEAU RIVAGE MAURITIUS
Possibly the most popular family hotel in Mauritius, Beau Rivage enjoys a lovely setting on a spectacular wide white sand beach in Belle Mare on the east coast. This inviting resort blends discreet luxury with an easygoing and quintessentially Mauritius warmth, the resort offers its guests the very latest in style, comfort and innovation – in perfect harmony. The extensive resort lies right beside one of the island’s loveliest reef-protected lagoon and is a perfect base in which to enjoy all the facilities to include a spa, superb swimming pool, live entertainment, an array of dining options and Kids & Teen Clubs.
A culinary adventure:
Let yourself be seduced by Beau Rivage’s culinary adventures – the charms of colourful local produce and the delicate aromas that make up the innovative cuisine. Inspired by the various spices and ingredients from distant lands, the master chef, with his long and worldwide culinary experience with French savoir-faire, knows how to bring out the finest flavours. The art of cosmopolitan dining is found in every shape and form in each of the four restaurants.
Rive Gauche, the main restaurant, is set under a high, beamed thatched roof, open to the sides, with wonderful views of the lagoon and the swimming pool, absolutely magnificent when its palm trees are illuminated at night. Rive Gauche serves a variety of table d’hote buffets and gala dinners. The themed buffets conjure up all the magic of Asia, Africa and Mauritius. La Mediterranée has a relaxed air, right by the beach; feet in the sand setting. This is the place to try local Mauritian dishes, as well as Mediterranean specialities such as pizza and huge salads. Indouchine, under a buttressed wooden ceiling, looking out towards the lagoon, is synonymous with the best of fine dining, where French haute cuisine is flavoured with little Indian and Chinese touches to produce pure gastronomic delight, a pleasure even for those wary of spices. The Chef’s speciality is pan-fried foie gras that has never seemed so wonderful, and the Chocolate Soufflé is divine. Le Langoustier, an elegant seafood restaurant set on its own terrace overlooking the pool and the lagoon beyond, is the perfect venue for a romantic evening. The jewel in the seafood crown is the special four-course lobster extravaganza, served once a week. Beau Rivage offers an array of dining alternatives from romantic celebration for couples to private dinner party for families and friends.
Monsoon Lounge & Bar is next to the swimming pool, facing the sea, and a popular meeting place. The atmosphere is one of colonial luxury, with furniture and furnishing inspired by the East Indies trade route. Guests sit here in the evening to enjoy the evening entertainment. The Club Savanne, under a high thatched roof supported by massive wooden beams, with hints of Africa, is the coolest meeting place on the island. Comfortable armchairs give the room a cosy feeling. Club Savanne is the ideal place to enjoy an exotic cocktail and a whole range of local and international brands, or a Cuban cigar from Beau Rivage’s private collection.
Exquisite accommodation:
The Junior Suites are spacious and airy, with terraces looking out over lush tropical gardens and the sparkling ocean beyond. They feature super king-size beds, separated from the comfortable seating areas by small wooden trellises, in a warm and glowing décor. Each Suite has a small dressing room and spacious bathroom, with a large walk-in shower, two washbasins, a bath and a separated toilet. Many of the Junior Suites have interconnecting suites adjoining. Lagoon Suites offer wonderful views of the lagoon. Just imagine watching the moonrise as you relax in your own whirlpool bath! A four-poster bed dominates the Honeymoon Suite, wrapping the newly weds in an exotic, colonial feeling, and the voluptuous atmosphere is enhanced by the softness and charm of Brazilian rosewood flooring. The large terrace is ideal for a romantic breakfast or for ‘tête-à-tête dinner’ – pure romance!
With its luxury hut appearance, the African Senior Suite is full of African vibes. Masks, grass furnishings and rustic solid wood furniture enliven the décor so that you can almost hear the distant sound of the drums. From the suite, there is direct access to the garden. A delightful perfume wafts through the Chinese Suite. This jewel of a suite, set in a richly decorated interior and with attention given to every detail, breathes with Asian art de vivre, tinted with exotic local touches.
